The career of Elaine Xydis Lipka at the FBI has now spanned about three decades by now, since she has been with the Bureau since 1991, in one capacity or another. When you look at the responsibilities she has taken on for the FBI, expect to be impressed. She spent almost 15 years as a Special Agent in the Washington, DC and Denver Field Offices from 1991 and 2005, and she has been an investigator with the counter-terrorism unit since 2005. Over the years, Elaine has conducted interviews with suspects and then prepared briefings to management, to make sure everyone was in the loop at all times.

As is usually the case with prominent and successful people, Elaine Xydis Lipka’s suc-cess started with education. Elaine started hers at the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia in 1984 and 1985. That is where she learned her impressive skills in helping Bureau and DOJ lawyers successfully wend their way through the courts. Elaine also used the time to minor in Sociology. She followed that up by earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Delaware, in Newark, Delaware in 1991. She also attended the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, which is where she learned the skills that made her a lifelong agent working in support of the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as numerous federal agencies. .

As a member of the Evidence Response Team (ERT), Elaine Xydis Lipka conducted physical surveillances and due diligence background investigations n new and transferring FBI agents and staff. As an educator and trainer with the Bureau, Elaine has also conducted Active Shooter Awareness and Suspicious Activity/Persons training and reporting. Gathered, organized and analyzed complaint information. She is also highly regarded for the extensive investigative reports she has produced when requested.
